The 5-year MSc in Communication Technology (CommTech) is offered to applicants with a Norwegian upper secondary / high school diploma with emphasis on mathematics and physics. For complete information please see the CommTech webpage (in norwegian only).

In CommTech, the first two years consists of courses in basic mathematics, physics, computer science and communication technology, as illustrated above. From the third study year, students can choose between two fields of study:

• Networks and Services
• Digital Communication and Signal Processing

From the fourth study year, students may choose between several specialisations from the chosen field of study. The field of study Networks and Services offers the following specialisations from the fourth study year:

• Networks and Quality of Service
  
• Services and Systems Engineering
  
• Information Security
  
• Tele-economics
  
• Telematics and society
  

The field of study Signal Processing and Communication offers the following specialisations from the fourth study year:

• Wireless Communication
  
• Audio and Image Processing
