TTM10 Intelligent Transport Systems

This is a theme intended as a part of the specialisation course in the 5th year study of the CommTech study program. The course is taught every fall semester, starting fall 2011.

The theme will focus on three areas of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS):

• ITS Communication: Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication, ITS communication architecture, IPv6 and NEMO in ITS.
• ITS applications: ITS targets safer, more efficient and more environmental-friendly solutions for the road users in relation to both traffic management and freight management. Human-machine interface considerations are also included.
• Facilities: Positioning and location referencing, execution environments, and security in ITS.

TTM4100 Communication - Services and Networks and TTM4105 Access and Transport Networks, or equivalent.
