TTM4100 - Communication Services and Networks
Course Description
The objective of the course is to provide knowledge and understanding about the architectures, principles and technologies that are the basis for current and future computer and telecommunication services.
Prerequisites
TDT4100 Programmering or an equivalent course.
Contents
Multimedia components and telecom services, principles of switching, reference models (i.e. OSI and TCP/IP) and generic protocol functionality. Functionality in the physical, link, network, transport and application layers. Quality of service within the application layer and architecture and protocols for the Domain Name System, e-mail and WWW.

Exam
07.Jun.2013, 09:00-13:00. Support type D: Specific, simple calculator allowed. No printed or hand written documents are allowed.
Note: In order to qualify for the final exam, the projects and the required number of assignments must be approved.
