TTM4142 Networked multimedia systems (Nettbaserte multimediesystemer)

The subject gives an introduction to networked multimedia systems and the integration between network, user equipment, services and quality of service. This includes principles, mechanisms and frameworks for object based 3D scenes, coding and compression, and also servers, applications and real-time multimedia transport. Furthermore, multimedia services, quality of service, quality shaping, performance evaluation by simulation, and synchronisation of multimedia components are treated.
